Flocculation Aid for Effluent Water Supplier and Manufacturer

Flocculation Aid for Effluent Water

Description
For sustenance of reservoir pressure, water injection is carried out. Fresh water, sea water and produced water are used for pressurizing the reservoir. When Effluent water is used for injection purposes, it is treated with flocculation aid materials to bring the effluent water quality to the desired levels in respect of oil content.

Characteristic and Property

Physical Appearance : The Material shall be homogenous liquid, free from visible impurities
Nature ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………Organic
Miscibility of 1% (w/v) of Sample in Distilled Water at 24 ± 2 °C ………………………………Miscible
Performance Test :

(a) Stock Solution in Distilled Water :
(i)    Sample : 0.1% (w/v).
(ii)    Poly Aluminium Chloride : 1.0% (w/v).
(b) Effluent Characteristics :
(i) Emulsified oil in effluent : 50 mg/litre (Maximum).

(c) Concentration of Poly Aluminium Chloride : 50 ppm.
(d) Concentration of Sample : 5 ppm.
(e) Jar Test :
Take 500-ml of Effluent characterized as at 4 (b) in 1 litre capacity square jar. Treat with requisite concentration of Poly Aluminium Chloride, as specified at 4 (c), depending on the Emulsified Oil Content of Effluent, followed by 5 ppm of Sample at 24 ± 2 °C. Mix at 200 rpm for 2 minutes utilizing floc, culator followed by mixing at 30 tpm for 20 minutes. Keep the jar in quiescent condition for two hours. Withdraw 125 ml of Water from the middle of the jar with the help of a syringe and determine Oil Content of water so withdrawn by API RP - 45 method. .

Oil content of the treated effluent should be 10 milligram/litre (Maximum).
Note: Detailed specifications which includes performance test are available on request.
