Characteristic and Property
Physical Appearance : The Material shall be in the form of powder, free from visible impurities.
Pozzolanic Activity Index with Lime in 7 days, psi 800 (Minimum).
Moisture Content at 105 ± 2 °C percent by mass 3.0 (Maximum).
Loss on Ignition, percent by mas 6.0 (Maximum).
Available Alkalies as Na2O, percent by mass 2.5 (Maximum).
Specific Gravity : 2.05 to 2.8 (S.G)
Wet Screen Analysis :
(a) Fraction Passing through ASTM No. 200 or Equivalent Sieve, percent by mass 90.0 (Minimum).
(b) Fraction Passing through ASTM No. 325 or Equivalent Sieve, percent by mass 85.0 (Minimum).
Chemical Analysis :
(a) Silicon Dioxide (SiO2), Aluminium Oxide (Al2O3) and Iron Oxide (Fe2O3),
percent by mass : 70.0 (Minimum).
(b) Sulphur Trioxide (SO3) Content, percent by mass : 3.0 (Maximum).
Performance Test :
(a) Compressive Strength :
(i) Prepare a Slurry by mixing API Class `G' Cement and 44% Water by weight of the Cement and determine its compressive strength after 24 hours curing at 35°C and 5500 kPa.
Record the Compressive Strength of the neat cement.
(ii) Prepare a Slurry using 50:50 blend (by volume) of Fly Ash / API Class `G' Cement and 44% Water by weight of blend. Determine the compressive strength of the blend after 24 hours curing at 35°C and 5500 kPa.
Compressive Strength of the blended cement shall not be less than 30% of the value obtained with neat cement 8(a)(i).
(b) Thickening Time :
(i) Prepare a Slurry of by mixing API Class `G' Cement and 44% Water by weight of the Cement and determine the thickening time of the Slurry, as per Test Procedure in API Specification.
Record the Thickening Time of the neat cement slurry.
(ii) Prepare a Slurry using 50:50 blend (by volume) of Fly Ash / API Class `G' Cement and 44% Water by weight of blend and determine its thickening time, as per Test Procedure in API Specification.
Thickening Time of the blended slurry shall be between 1.25 and 2.5 times the value obtained for the neat cement slurry 8(b)(i).

Toxicity and Handling
It can be stored in closed containers away from direct sunlight at ambient temperature. During handling, direct contact with human body is to be avoided. Safety goggles and gloves are recommended for safe handling.
